SPAA TRAINING DOCUMENT

Welcome to the seaplane community.

If you have started to dip your toes into the wonderful world of our unique aviation passion , we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the SPAA training manual.

This manual was originally developed for the training of pilots in amphibious ultralight floating hull type seaplanes, and is considered to be generic and not type specific.

We suggest that as a new student, that you take the time to read through this manual to gain an understanding of what a typical syllabus will involve for water hull training .

Specifically what areas are covered and the type of instruction that should be offered to gain the required skills and knowledgebase

However we must stress that as there ar many types of seaplanes all with their own uniques operating parameters and configurations, training should only be undertaken with an experienced instructor that follows a prescribed syllabus that is suitable for the training aircraft is to be utilised.

Therefore the attached syllabus is for general information only and is not a verified and authorised document.

SPAA therefore absolves itself as a training organisation and only qualified instructors and their syllabus is to be followed.

Please enjoy your new aviation training experience
