Seaplane Pilots Association of Australia

Members

As a member of the Seaplane Pilots Association of Australia, not only are you eligible for great member benefits but you will be taking a most important step in supporting this amazing and fun sector of the aviation industry.

Pilots who join the world of water flying inherit considerable benefits and privileges that many pioneers before them have worked hard to establish.

Many of the rules and procedures, have been achieved through the concerted efforts of a dedicated few over the years, who have come together through the Seaplane Pilots Association of Australia (and its US counterpart the Seaplane Pilots Association). Much work and commitment has gone into education programs and building close working relationships with those Authorities who regulate the industry.

Today, through that hard work, seaplanes are accepted as safe, environmentally acceptable and necessary to the National development of Australia. In joining the SPAA, and as part of enjoying the privileges of flying seaplanes, we welcome your membership and support. To date the SPAA has achieved much which includes:

2. Provides support to Commercial Seaplane Operators who encounter operational difficulties with regulators.
